My name is Richard M. Rodriguez, I am a Registered Mental Health Counseling Intern who has experience working with youth, adults and couples with different needs and concerns, such as depression, anxiety, substance use, and interpersonal problems.
My path into counseling developed from a genuine desire to help others. Over the years, I have found that supporting people through their challenges has not only allowed me to make a meaningful difference in their lives but has also deepened my understanding of personal growth, resilience, and healing. This experience has strengthened my commitment to providing compassionate and effective care for every client I serve.
My counseling style is relaxed, empathetic, and collaborative. I strive to create a safe, nonjudgmental environment where clients feel comfortable sharing their thoughts and experiences openly. I believe that effective therapy begins with a strong connection between therapist and client, which is why I encourage individuals to work with someone they feel comfortable with and can trust. I am mindful of cultural differences and personal values and believe it is important to meet each client where they are in their journey. I believe therapy is most effective when approached with openness, honesty, and hope. Together, we can work toward greater understanding, healthier coping skills, and lasting personal growth.
