Housing & Financial Stability

Flagler Cares focuses on housing and financial stability as the foundation of community health. We currently have several programs to assist Flagler residents on their pathway to stability, including:

Screening and Information and Referral

Flagler Cares staff can conduct a phone interview to gain understanding of your needs and refer you to specific programs and services, either at Flagler Cares or available through other community organizations. Click here to submit basic information and staff will reach out to you to schedule a phone interview.

SOAR and Assistance with Disability Claims

Flagler Cares staff can screen you for disability claim eligibility and either provide advice on the process or assist you with the process if you qualify for our SOAR program. To access this assistance, click here to submit basic information and staff will reach out to you to schedule a phone interview.

Eviction Prevention

If you are at risk of becoming homeless (have received an eviction notice, utilities have been shut off) Flagler Cares may be able to assist you with rent and utility payments to maintain your rental housing. To access this assistance, click here to submit basic information and staff will reach out to you to schedule a phone interview

Rapid Rehousing

If you are currently literally homeless (living in your car, the woods or a place not meant for human habitation), Flagler Cares may be able to help you find a housing solution that meets your needs. You may complete this form or call our office at 386-319-9483 to schedule a phone screening appointment.

Financial Capabilities

Flagler Cares staff can help you analyze your financial status through a review of your income and expenses and can provide you with phone consultation and direct you to free financial education resources that will help you better manage your income and expense.
